A Letter from the Senior Warden

Happy New Year fellow Trinitarians,

2024 brings thoughts of new beginnings, new plans, and new resolutions. We are one and a half years into our quest of hiring a priest to serve both Trinity and St. James. We have been told the process is usually 24 to 36 months, especially in this climate of fewer individuals entering seminary. We plan to reassess our Combined Profile and Office of Ministry Transition forms, as they were developed over a year ago. This profile is so important. We need to be confident the material is accurate for prospective candidates to see Trinity/St. James as a flock they would want to shepherd.

In 2023 we were tested as Christians every day, and I commend you for serving God as a united church family. Together we will continue to grow as a family in Christ. This Annual Report booklet shares insight into the numerous ministries that thrive at Trinity and throughout our broader community. If you have gifts of time, talent, and or resources, please consider sharing these with one or several Trinity ministries. We appreciate your stepping forward to volunteer or to start a new ministry.

As your Senior Warden, thank you for the support received this past year; due to our smaller church membership, we exemplify early Episcopal Church congregations which according to St. Paul, were often like a family. Paul tells us in the Book of Romans that in Jesus Christ, God has acted to provide salvation for all who believe, and in this salvation, whose complete realization in the future, starts in the present.

-Respectfully submitted, Karla Love, Senior Warden, Trinity
